RWA Contest Deadlines: January and February

I've left out the contests for previously published books. Call it sour grapes, call it I don't really have too many friends with published books yet...you get it.

The following dates are for Romance Writers of America (RWA) chapter contests in the next eight weeks. I'm pretty certain my list is not all-inclusive, so if you see one I've missed and it's worth the while, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me an e-mail (see the "Hello, Harper..." section) and I'll put an addition up.

January Contests

Washington Romance Writers of America’s “Marlene Contest.”
$25-30; January 15, 2010 deadline.

Yellow Rose Romance Writers of America’s “Winter Rose Award for Excellence—Unpublished.”
$15-30; January 23, 2010 deadline.

Lake County Romance Writer’s of America’s “1st & 10.”
$8-10; January 31, 2010 deadline.

February Contests

Chicago-North Romance Writers of America’s “Fire and Ice.”
$25-30; February 1, 2010 deadline.

San Antonio Romance Writers of America’s “Merritt Contest.”
$25-35; February 14, 2010 deadline.

Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America’s “Between the Sheets.”
$25; February 14, 2010 deadline.
